Why “Atiku Abubakar is the most preferred Northern aspirant for 2019 Presidential race” by Johnson Alile.

“Atiku Abubakar who is also known as Mr Restructuring” in a speech “Strength & Unity in Renewal” stated that the ethnic nationalities in the country need to come together and determine jointly how the nation must be run.

He unapologetically declared that it is unthinkable to believe that the unity of Nigeria is non-negotiable. Severally he has also stated that Federalism as being practiced in Nigeria is a bastardized form and not working because power at the center is too concentrated not for the interest of the people but for the economic interest of those in position of authority.

“Atiku Abubakar has also faulted the modality being used for the distribution of money collected from Value Added Tax, stating that some states are cheated of their resources in distribution of VAT by federal government putting into consideration of states that do not contribute funds raised through Value Added Tax”.

“We should take deliberate steps to change this structure to serve us better. And we should not dither for too long that we let fear and expediency stampede us into another disastrous policy shift that may not serve us well either or meet many obligations. Does it still make sense to have a centrist… FG?#Restructuring -Atiku Abubakar, December 22, 2016.

“Mr Restructuring” wrote a book stating the challenges/problems of Nigeria and proffered solutions on how to solve them one after the other.

Recently the "Northern Youth Forum" nominated him as their presidential aspirant for 2019, the decision was also endorsed by the Patrons and over 30 Northern organizations.

He is more energetic, intelligent and democratically inclined than any other Northern aspirants. He has been successful in his endeavor….wealth of wisdom the nation’s economy need at this time.

He also has the capacity to build regional coalitions and alliances to give people a sense of belonging as much as possible.

He is also very adept at gathering people of professional backgrounds and track records. He will be able to unite the nation and will have a cordial relationship with the legislative and judiciary arm of government.

If he loses, Nigeria will be a safer place for all than if “Buhari flies the APC to another defeat. Many APC members and some faithful PDP members feel that Mr Restructuring has paid his dues mostly in the area of Restructuring agenda which many leaders have bought into”.

An “APC leader, on condition of anonymity said there are issues tearing us apart in the APC….kudos to Atiku Abubakar”, he has been a great unifying factor in our party thereby keeping many of us here.

However, “El-Rufai of Kaduna state is the most serious obstacle to Atiku’s ambition in 2019 at least for now in the APC but same El-Rufai has been the least in every online nomination/poll as per 2019 presidential race”.“Atiku Abubakar who is also known as Mr Restructuring” in a speech “Strength & Unity in Renewal” stated that the ethnic nationalities in the country need to come together and determine jointly how the nation must be run.
