Anambra PDP chieftain decamps to APGA, thanks God for delivering him from ‘evil party’

Barr Eugene Agbasionwe, former legal adviser for the Anambra state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has decamped to the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Vanguard reports. The defection comes on the heels of the commissioning of an electricity project by Honorable Obinna Emenaka in Nando, Anambra state.

While dumping the opposition party, Agbasionwe thanked God for bringing him out of an ‘evil party’. He also lauded the achievements of the Anambra state governor, Willie Obiano. He stated: “I thank God for coming to APGA; PDP is full of evil deeds and evil demands.

"I thank God that today I have rejected them and now joined other progressive minded Igbos in APGA to build Anambra state. Frankly speaking, Governor Willie Obiano has performed excellently well in his first term and deserves to be re-elected for a second term.” On his part, while accepting the defectors into the APGA fold, Emenaka asked them if they had rejected the PDP and all its evil deeds; to which the defectors answered with a resounding ‘yes’. Emeneka assured the defectors that they would be treated fairly in APGA, and proceeded to decorate Agbasionwe with an APGA uniform.
