Reno Omokri, former aide to immediate paste president, Goodluck Jonathan, has criticised President Muhammadu Buhari’s Special Adviser on Media, Femi Adesina, over his statement that his principal was depressed with the killings in Benue.
In an article entitled ‘why I stand with Buhari’ the presidential aide vowed to stand with his principal whom he said has done everything possible to cease killings in Benue despite criticisms.

Omokri, while reacting to the article, said Buhari would have visited Benue victims rather than playing host to leaders from the state in Abuja if he was truly depressed about the situation.
The stark critic of the Buhari-led government on his twitter page wrote , “But @FemAdesina you claimed that President Buhari is ‘depressed’ about Benue killings, yet two days after the killings he hosted seven leprous Governors endorsing him for a 2nd term. Is that how you show depression? A man who said he’s in ‘no hurry’ to do anything about the killings.
“It seems @FemAdesina made a mistake to say President Buhari is ‘DEPRESSED’ by the Benue killings. Maybe he meant the President is IMPRESSED by the killings. A person that is depressed would have visited Benue and dealt decisively with the killers, but he said he is in no hurry!”
