He promised to give priority to the restructuring of the country if elected the President of the country in 2019.

Bafarawa stated this in Akure, Ondo state capital, during his visit to the leadership of pan Yoruba socio-political group, Afenifere.

He maintained that restructuring was the only way forward in Nigeria’s quest for unity and development.

Bafarawa said, “I am not just supporting restructuring, I am going to implement it.

“Nigerians should see whoever is talking about restructuring as talking about developing this country. They are talking of development and not personal interest of any individual or group.

“We have held various conferences which have been kept aside and already the work has been done, by the time I emerge as the President of this country, within the first two or three months, we will set up a committee to review the recommendations and then start the implementation.

“We are going to work with the National Assembly and the judiciary to look into the recommendation of past conferences, with a view to restructure our nation and to meet the yearnings and aspirations of the people.”
