Manchester United have been rebuffed by Newcastle in their attempts to sign Sean Longstaff, according to a Sky Sports reporter. Kaveh Sohlekol says high-level talks between the clubs have taken place, but the Magpies told United the 21-year-old wasn’t for sale. Longstaff recently signed a new deal to keep him at St. James’ Park until 2022. The Sun reports that Premier League newcomers Sheffield United have joined the race for Coventry City’s Tom Bayliss.
